Interested in a Reading?

This is what you need to know

An effective reading has three key ingredients:

  1. The right reader

  2. The right question

  3. The right reading

What do I mean by “right”?

By “right”, I mean “aligned”. For an effective reading, the reader, the question, and the chosen reading must all be aligned with you and the information you are seeking.

Before you get a reading, consider the below.

The Right Reader

Every reader is different.

All readers have unique backgrounds, beliefs and reading styles. They use different tools and have different strengths. If you are going to invest in a reading, it is worth doing a little bit of research before you commit.

Are you seeking an interactive, face-to-face reading (either in person or online)? Are you pressed for time and prefer a video or voice recorded reading that you can watch or listen to in your own time? Do you want a written reading that you can keep as a record and refer back to easily? Everyone has a preference of how they want to experience a reading – choose a reader who offers you that experience.

I only offer written readings. This is because most of the messages I receive are channelled through the process of writing (known as automatic writing). After I finish a reading, I type it up into a report and send it by email. This approach won’t resonate with everyone and that’s okay – pick a reader who aligns with your preferences.

If you’re seeking a written reading, take extra care to ensure you are purchasing from a genuine reader.

Unfortunately, there is an ever-increasing number of people who provide AI-generated readings and pass them off as authentic. Before you buy, look at the content on their website or social media. If there is an AI tone, I suggest looking for a different reader.

The Right Question

This point is critical.

A reading will answer the question that was asked. If you ask a vague question, you can expect a vague answer. The more specific your question, the more specific the answer. Not every reader agrees with this view, but in my experience, the wording of your question is crucial for an effective reading.

Consider these two questions:

1. Will my new business be successful?

This question is vague because it doesn’t specify what success looks like to you.

Does business success mean that you’re happy being your own boss even if you’re barely scraping by financially? Does business success mean that you have made a positive impact in your community? Or does it relate purely to cash flow? A broad question will give you a wildcard response

2. Will my new business turn a profit within the next 24 months?

This question leaves no room for misinterpretation. The answer will give an indication, based on your current projection, as to whether your new business is likely to turn a profit within the next 24 months. If you want a clear answer, you must ask a question with clearly defined parameters.

When your question is airtight, you can be much more confident in the answer that you receive. However, not all readings need to be so strictly defined. If you are seeking general guidance on the month ahead, then your question can simply state that. But if you are seeking guidance specifically for your love life over the next month, then you should stipulate that extra detail.

The Right Reading

Once you know your question, you then want to make sure that you are selecting a reading that will answer your specific question. To do this, you must first select the right modality, then you must select the right reading.

Modality

This refers to the type of reading.

If you have a question for a loved one who has passed on, seek out a mediumship reading. If you have a question about your past life karma, an evolutionary astrology reading might suit your needs.  If you want to know more about your human design, a human design chart reading will be much more helpful than a psychic reading would be.

To get an effective reading, you must pick the right modality to suit your particular question.

Reading

Once you select your modality, you’ll want to make sure you select a reading that will provide the information you seek. For example, a Past/Present/Future Tarot reading isn’t going to be helpful if you are looking to assess the pros and cons of a particular job opportunity.

I specialise in Tarot because it is a tool that can answer a broad range of questions. Unless your question requires a particular modality and skill set (such as those modalities mentioned above), a Tarot reading will suit most circumstances where you are seeking insight and guidance.
